It’s hard to put into words what’s happening in Ukraine at the moment and as a digital marketing agency it’s difficult to post without it seeming like shameless self promotion, so we’ll keep it brief…
A little over a week ago, Russia invaded Ukraine - whilst this is truly horrific and shocking, a few things have risen from this aggressive and tragic act which goes some way to restoring faith in humanity. First of all, the reaction of the Ukrainian people and their government is nothing short of inspiring. Also, the reaction and support from businesses and individuals around the world, from sporting institutions, telecommunications companies and, close to our heart, the iGaming community.
One man in particular - Rasmus Sojmark CEO and Founder of SBC and Sport Global Group has set up a GoFundMe page to support Ukraine and it’s people.
We’ll leave this statement from Rasmus, we genuinely cannot find better words….

“A few words from Rasmus
The global gambling industry is a family and what has become clear over the past few days is the strength of responsibility it feels in providing assistance to the people of Ukraine. Most organisations employ people from the country, or have done business in the region, shared a drink with them and above all have made friends with them.
This is why several organisations within the gambling sector have been working together to set up a mechanism to enable everyone to help the Ukrainian people at this time, via this GoFundMe campaign.
After looking at a number of charities, we have decided to direct our support to Choose Love. From our research they do good work, and are able to put to work the money they receive very quickly and very efficiently. “Choose Love does whatever it takes to provide refugees and displaced people with everything from lifesaving search and rescue boats to food and legal advice.” More info about the work that they do can be found on their site .
If you would like to join us in giving whatever you can, we welcome you to do so through this GoFundMe to show together what we as an industry are doing to help.”
